P. Thomas Marrs
Overview
P. Thomas Marrs earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in May 2022. While in law school, he was on the dean’s list, a member of the American Constitution Society, the Criminal Law Association, and the Public Interest Law Society of America. He earned a B.A., with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin in 2018. During undergrad, Thomas was a member of the Liberal Arts Council, was a Truman Scholarship finalist, a Student Senator, and Student Representative.
Before joining Durbin Larimore & Bialick, Thomas spent years in the courtroom as a prosecutor, both for the Oklahoma County and Canadian County District Attorney’s Offices, where his job was to stand up in court day after day and handle real cases with real consequences. Thomas prosecuted felony cases ranging from property crimes to homicides. During his time as prosecutor, he handled hundreds of hearings and tried thirteen cases to verdict. He brings that same courtroom experience to his civil practice, and believes his clients deserve a lawyer who is comfortable in front of a judge, prepared to present a case, and try it when necessary.
When he is not working, Thomas spends most of his time with his wife, Kaitlyn, and their son, Mason, and their two dogs, Martin and Ellis. He is also an avid OU football fan and rarely misses an opportunity to see his team.
