Gessica Sewell McClanahan earned her law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2015. During law school, she was a member of the Organization for the Advancement of Women in the Law and Secretary of the Agricultural & Environmental Law Association. She was also a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity – Vaught Chapter and served on the P.A.D. Moot Court Team. After law school, Ms. McLanahan served on the YWCA board of directors for two years and is currently an active member of the Oklahoma Bar Association Mock Trial Committee.

Prior to law school, Ms. McLanahan attended Oklahoma State University and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2011. She served on the Student Judiciary Committee and was listed on the President’s Honor Roll.
